Launch Night

The Birmingham Gay Symphony Orchestra will be in attendance for this grand opening gala, performing a ‘flourish’ (that’s a type of brass fanfare) that’s been written especially for the Commonwealth Games by Florence Maunders, the multiple-international-award-winning composer, conductor, accompanist, percussionist and jazz pianist.

We’re then joined by a trio of west end signers and concert performers delivering 80s, show tunes and R&B classics as the House party hots up before we hand over to the Under Veil Project for an Asian Fusion DJ set that continues into the early hours. Let’s all get together for the launch!
