Cover Up: Birmingham HIV/AIDS Memorial Quilt Making Workshop

Two sessions: 11am-12:30pm and 1pm-2:30pm

So you saw Tom Daley knitting at the Olympics and maybe you got the needles out yourself… and you love watching the queens on their sewing machines on Drag Race… but nothing brings crafty folk together quite like a quilt!

Your design ideas and skills will be highly prized at these very special workshops led by the designer and founder of the Birmingham HIV/AIDS Memorial project, Garry Jones as part of their ‘Cover Up’ project.

Lend a hand to something that will last forever and celebrate our LGBTQ+ community in Birmingham. There are eight sessions, lasting 90 minutes each, and all are welcome to help create these wonderful tribute panels at Pride House.
